The settlement was established already in the Middle Ages but its settlers fled from Turks to the nearby island of Prvić.
Not far from the place, at an archeological locality called Srimska lokva, an old Christian basilica from the 6th century was
found. The walls of the basilica were put up for about half a meter so they could be seen and the locality is available for
tourists.

Srima is a pleasant and quiet settlement away from the summer crowds although its beautiful pebble beaches attract many
tourists. For those who prefer more entertainment and richer gastronomical offer the vicinity of Šibenik and Vodice will be an
advantage. The possibility of both, a quiet holiday with entertainment and cultural events not far away makes the tourists who have experienced it come
